Remote not working properly

Dear Community,

I have a weird issue with my remote from a Vero 4K.
The Remote buttons for “return”, “stop” do not work anymore.

What I already did is

  • Replace Battery with a new one
  • Re-install the Vero 4K
  • Pairing (several times)

Still the buttons do not work on the UI. When pressing the buttons the blue flash appears, so somehow they get triggered.

I also own another Vero, the 4K+ Version. When I use the Remote + USB on this machine the remote does not work either. So I believe this is a HW failure kind of thing.

Anyone a suggestion how to revitalize the remote?

Boris

P.S. @sam_nazarko The Last response to my ticket is from Feb,22nd. I am still waiting for feedback!

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here

Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.

Dear All,

quick update: It seems that the USB Dongle is faulty. I paired both remotes with the first dongle an all remote buttons work. Doing the pair with both remotes on the second USB Dongle shows the error behavior. So from my point of view the Remote USB Dongle is faulty and not the remotes.

Boris

You can raise a support ticket for a new dongle.

ok, done! Can I close the topic or are you going to close it?

There is no “closing” just a “Solution” which I have done
