So this thought just popped into my head. Since TVheadend is basically web/internet based, is it possible to take your Pi to a remote location outside of your network, port forward the TVheadend ports, and access it? I know from the TVH web page I can, just wasn’t sure if OSMC would be able to or not. Just curious.
Yes. But there are security risks associated with this.
I figured as much, but nice to know. May have to try it once just to see how it works.
Just install openvpn and you can use your OSMC box anywhere in the world same as you would be at home.
But you would need at least 8Mbit upload speed at the location where the tvheadend server is.
