i finally upgraded from a 4k+ to a V.
I have already read that there were problems with the remote control/receiver.
I don’t encounter any lag or random missing keypresses but the volume control over the remote just doesn’t work.
The remote lights up when each key is pressed, but OSMC doesn’t seem to recognize it.
I tried to remap the keys with the “Keymap Editor” addon, the keys are recognized when i bind them to volume + or volume - but it’s still not changing the volume.
All the other keys and also the long press seems to be working fine.
Dunno if something got screwed because i had a keyboard plugged in during config?
i’m using the HDMI connection for my TV’s with the “Mute HDMI Audio Output” option turned on and connecting my speakers over the 3.5mm analogue audio output.
Same TV and speakers are used in the test with the Vero 4K and V.
I created a debug log on both, i pressed five times volume down and then up.
I found it in both logs, the 4K log has also “------ Window Init (DialogVolumeBar.xml) ------” that is totaly missing on the V log, seems something is off there.
Disabled CEC and a reboot → volume control was possible over the remote again
The strange thing about it, i enabled it again and did a reboot and it’s still working.
Dunno what got screwed there, but it’s working fine for me now.
