Replacement adapter Vero4k?

Hi,

My house was just hit by lightning and some hardware incl. my Vero4k stopped working, I was wondering if there by any chance are any replacement adapters that I can try as an initial troubleshooting step.

What specs do I need if I procure one myself?

Anything else I should try? There is no signs of life when inserting the adapter.
I logged a ticket, but in case any other users can be of help im posting here as well.

5V, 2A center positive, 5.5mm OD; 2.1mm ID

If you have a USB A-A cable you can power the Vero with that (disconnect power supply).

Turned all my boxes with cables upside down and inside out
but no A-A cable. Could of sworn a techhoarder like myself woul have kept one of those, but appears not.

Might get something like this, might be good to test other stuff as well:

(sorry if showing in swedish, but pictures should be quite explanatory)

Since 5V, 2A is 10W, that adapter doesn’t look strong enough. Also note that the centre contact on the Vero’s socket is solid, so the PSU plug needs to have a spring connection (‘type M’) to make sure it connects properly.

Thanks for this comment, I ordered a more powerful version, albeit a bit more expensive.
From my ticket I got the info that there are official replacement power adapters which can be ordered still, alltough even more expensive and less flexible than buying one locally here in Sweden. Picking it up today, fingers crossed the Vero will boot up.

Nah, unit seems fried, no response with the new power adapater.

Not even the red light in the S/PDIF socket?

Nope, nothing lights up.

Would strongly suggest an A-A cable
