Retrospect crashes OSMC

Whenever I select a serie to watch or click live TV in NPO gemist , OSMC on Vero V shows a blue screen with a sad smiley and it shows the start screen again.
Other videos work fine (i.e. in the Radio or Video section)

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Start Retrospect add-on
  2. Browse to National-NPO start-recent-yesterday-start any video

Expected behavior:

The video plays without a crash.

I already reinstalled OSMC and installed retrospect again, the same thing happens.
Retrospect works fine on a RPi4 with libreelec.

A log for retrospect is already checked by the developer, no errors are present. He suspects widevine libs might be the cause.

Kodi version: 21.2
Retrospect version: 5.7.27

Are you using the latest Widevine libraries on both LE and Vero V?

Two different Kodi versions and two different architectures.

I’d check for InputStream / Kodi changes first…

Exactly the same issue with the same configuration on my Vero V

I recognized the issue, it doesn’t occur too often. When it happens again I will post a log. Thanks for your answer!

OK, it’s useful to know that it does not always happen, just sometimes.

After a vacation, osmc updates. After it finished, the streams work fine now (woooohoooo).

No updates were done to the input helper or widevine cdm so no clue how it was fixed.

In happy it’s working anyway.

Glad to hear this. We haven’t changed anything on this side however unless you’re on the staging repository,

After OSMC’s August update was installed automatically, the issue seems to be resolved here as well.
