Tethering

May be I didn’t put my question as needed. So I try once more: Can anybody explain how tethering works? I though: I enable it and use it. This means: Tethering gives access to my network so that devices connected with my raspberry with OSMC can enter it and use the internet connection this seems to be wrong. I have enabled tethering from ethernet to wifi, but I see the message: Error enabling hotspot-see log for details.

How could I to resolve it?

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.

So, in summary:

• activate the logging
• reboot the OSMC device
• reproduce the issue
• upload the log set either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A
• publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
