I have a rp4 that I am trying to run OSMC on using just the official 7 inch touchscreen. I have a pi3b+ that I run this way as a music player in my garage, and I want to do this in my basement. I have a pi4, and when it boots, I see an image on the touchscreen, but them it goes to just lines, and the display changes to one of the hdmi ports. I am running the Nov 2021 release. I do not want to connect an HDMI display, I want to run it all on the 7 inch touch screen connected via DSI.
I figured it out.
I commented out dtoverlay in config.txt and it is working

Which dtoverlay did you comment out? I’ve had a similar issues.
