After an upgrade to the latest version I only get a sad face instead of the main screen. i tried to figure out what went wrong myself but can not find anything.

Unfortunately you seem to have manually updated your system in ways that aren’t quite supported by OSMC or Debian guidelines.
In September you seem to have ran apt upgrade regularly, instead of apt-get dist-upgrade. This can lead to problems
Further, you seem to have used repositories such as http://www.deb-multimedia.org via APT.
Unfortunately Kodi doesn’t give a reason for crashing, but I can see it’s segfaulting.
I would recommend taking a backup and reinstalling.
