Sad face decoding mpo image file

Problem: After opening a mpo 3D image file the system terminates with a sad face.

I assume the problem is related to omega (addon version 21.0.0), because pkscout checked one of my mpo-files before I got the Vero V. As understand pkscout tested with addon version 20.1.0 and it worked.
I don’t even know, if this is an addon related problem or a osmc problem. The log doesn’t seem to be very helpful in this case:

Were you viewing from the file manager, or did you add a folder as a picture source and view it from there? I noticed when I tested that if I viewed stuff from the file manager I would periodically get crashes like that, but if I added the folder as a source and then viewed it that way I don’t think I had any crashes. In theory, it shouldn’t make a difference which way you view the file, but in practice it did for me.

I added an internal test folder as a source in the picture category and placed one mpo file into this folder. By doing this I wanted to rule out any possible network related problems.
