Sad face on ATV1 with CystalHD

Had a hard time trying to upgrade from Ver 15.x to 17.1 … wouldnt update thru OSMC, but fail every time, so then I downloaded and installed again from USB stick…it went thru the full process, rebooting and failed again.

Followed the previous threads about running from console using
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

But still wouldnt update or run, I’ll try another boot with the USB and installation again see if that will work or not, I uploaded the logs as shown below.

You have a read only filesystem. Normally happens if the device is not shut down properly or has defective media.

Problems when updating your ATV1 ? - READ HERE BEFORE POSTING!

When I updated my ATV1 to the latest version of OSMC… it failed ! Have you had this problem ? Here's the most likely solution. if you EVER incorrectly shutdown or reboot your ATV1, the boot partition will become Read-Only. Another common reason this can happen is when the ATV1 loses A/C power. When that happens, the system will appear to operate normally until you need to update it. No sorry, the web layout totally changed from my last visit and i could not find where the ATV section was, I’ll look again.

I was able to reinstall on HD again and this time it worked.
