I am new to OSMC.
I’m in my movie list, browsing files and I would like to search rather than scroll.
If I get the options to open (key up or key left, depending on the view), there is a search option.
As I use the search option, it cannot find anything, no matter what I type.
So, what’s the right way to search for movies?

Are you browsing just the files or have you scanned your content into the library?
I think the search function only searches the kodi library, not file names.
You’re right. I was browsing the files, not the library. Library search works whereas file search doesn’t.
Another useful tip is to hold down shift then press letter this will jump to first movie beginning with that letter in list.
