I have two Rpi and I would like to to connect both to the same HD. As far as I know, it is possible only through router (see picture at link bellow).
Can I send video from router to Rpi or wifi will be too slow? Thanks!
(USB cable instead ethernet between router an HD)
It should be Ok, but depends on your router’s processing power and your WiFi reception. I would say give it a try

Alternative connect the Hard Disk to RASPI 1 and share via Samba Server
