September update and H.264

I just updated both of my vero 4k+ with osmc September update.

h.264 TV shows are kind of playing with stuttering video when hardware acceleration is enabled. It is independent of network connectivity (Wifi / LAN) and it worked before update. Disabling HW acceleration in settings → player → video seems to help with resolution up to 1080p. I did not try any further videos.

I can provide sample file, if needed.

One of the four cpu cores is at 100% Load and temperature is also about 70°C on system-infomation … <= fixed by disabling raspotify

Stephan

It would be good to see some logs

Sam

Hi, Sam.

Thanx für your answer.

I could send you a link with a short video (300 MB) or shall I enable logging reboot play and upload?

Disabling spotty does not help.

Without debug:

I need to see full logs with debugging. As explained below:

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here

Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.

Thanks for your patience.

I assume the issue occurs when playing 9-1-1 Lone Star - S03E18 - Ein freundlicher und wolkenloser Morgen-00.00.00.000-00.05.17.374.mkv.

Did you test by playing from local storage?
I see you have NFS with path substitution.

Does it occur with all H264 files?

Would you be able to share a problematic sample?

Thanks

Sam

It does occur with all episodes of this tv show when using hardware acceleration.
Before update I could watch the episodes of the show.

I watched a different tv show without problems.

I will send you a pm with a link. Please confirm when you got the sample.

Hello Sam.

Did you find anything?

It would be good if you could provide the sample here
