I use the VFS addon to reach a SFTP source from Vero 4Ks, and I’d like to upgrade to Vero V’s but I can’t see Virtual File Systems in their add ons (to add),
I presume that means no one has compiled SFTP Support for the Vero V. Am I just being thick (and it’s there but I was blind to it some how) - or is it missing and… hopefully will be available shortly? Or could I compile it to install for myself?
I’m not familiar with the VFS addon. If you’re creating a source in Kodi, Kodi uses its built-in Virtual File System support to do things like SFTP. On the OSMC OS, if you install the SSH addon, you get SFTP as part of that (both server and client). Maybe if you have a link to this addon you are mentioning we can help figure out either how to install it on the Vero V or an alternative.
Never mind I figured it out (meaning I was being a bit thick); I was looking in the repository but found VFS in My Add Ons already installed (on a new Vero V). Activated it and voila, works just fine. I only edit these things when changing models (every four years or so) and I always get a little lost on where stuff is.
The SFTP addon is already shipped with Kodi on OSMC so doesn’t need to be installed from a repository. This is a bit different to other platforms so can cause some confusion.
