Share finished compilation of osmc image with addons?

Hi guys,

any chance of opening a “marketplace” or a “shareplace” with finished images of osmc including addons?

just an idea.

Who would support those images? See to it that nothing unlawful was added to those images?

I see it as a big no-no since it certainly would become a lot of pirate addons involved and OSMC WON’T EVER support something like that. So my guess is that this will never happen.

See Corporate and Legal - OSMC. There is a level of quality expected with OSMC, and unofficial images could prove problematic and give people a negative impression, particularly if they think they are in some way officially endorsed or supported.

There are also legal implications as most people want to include ‘addons’

This would be a maintenance problem for us. We prefer to offer HOWTO guides in our forum at this time for those that want to expand their system.
