For the past couple of versions of OSMC, skip ahead no longer seems to work. If I’m watching a video and press the right button on my remote it moves ahead in the proper increment but them buffers for a couple minutes and exits the video before ever starting at the skip ahead point. RPI model 3B+
It would help to know what device you’re using.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

reproduce the issue

upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the
Log Uploadermethod within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or thesshmethod invoking commandgrab-logs -A -
