Slow downs and audio drop / out of sync - Youtube videos

Hey

Check this video I made: - YouTube

its especially noticeable with 4k HDR, but I have issues with any Youtube plugin video, basically. No problem with normal non youtube videos I play from the file system, even very high quality 4k HDR 10p like LOTR remastered editions.
Tried default options for youtube plugin, disabling dash in youtube app, setting varios options to inputstream adaptive, various player and system display settings for Kodi, but the problem stays.
The only thing that helped a bit was Lock HDMI HPD. but not by much. It seems Vero 4k or my hardware specific as nobody else is complaining.

I opened a defect for the youtube plugin here: Youtube video and audio are out of sync and sound is dropping completely from time to time · Issue #245 · anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube · GitHub
You can see the version of my youtibe plugin and helper components there (all latest)

Logs are here: https://paste.osmc.tv/zeqodideca

I noticed a few things that don’t seem right, see below:

Seems you don’t have the setting I recommended in the other thread?

We recommend people with 4K TV’s set their user interface (UI) to 1080p. Kodi’s UI is not optimized for 4K yet and this can put unnecessary demands on your device and can lead to a suboptimal picture quality, as well as potentially cause other issues.

The settings we recommend are as follows…

Settings>System>Display>Resolution> 1920x1080p
Settings>System>Display>Whitelist> (empty) *
Settings>Player>Videos>Adjust display refresh rate> On start/stop

Some televisions may also need, or benefit from, the following being set…

System>Display>Force 4:2:2 colour subsampling> (enable)

With the above settings your UI will be output in Full HD and your 4K content will be output in 4K. *Information regarding the whitelist can be found here. If you have any doubt, feel free to upload some logs so we can verify that your settings are indeed correct.

I did everything you said and now all videos run perfectly! Thanks man! You saved me from those constant adverts, they were driving me crazy! I am not giving any money to Google! Brilliant and Nebula deserve a bit more!

I left the whitelist option empty as you recommended. I read about it and it sounds good giving you a lot of options of how videos are handled, but I have no idea how to find what modes my TV supports?

Assuming everything is working as it should, it won’t give you the option to whitelist modes your TV doesn’t support.

Did you read my whitelist guide? (fzinken gave you a link to it, or you could click here instead ).

Yes, I just did in full details. I set the whitelist and the other options you recommend. Still I need to switch the Original to 4:3 on my TV for some very old videos. But overall I am happy with how it behaves now!
