SOLVED: IQAudio DAC+ stopped working

Hi all,

Last week -probably after a reboot which may have booted latest kernel?- my IQAudio Dac+ stopped working on OSMC. I did the following steps:

  • Downloaded IQAudio test image and verified that the DAC is functional

  • SSHed into OSMC and run apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade and I have no missing upgrades.

  • aplay -l does not list the card.

  • I verified that boot/config.txt has

    dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus-overlay
    dtparam=audio=on

  • I re-configured the DAC using the MyOSMC app

I can’t get it to work. Kernel messages have some interesting output with failure traces which I attach bellow.

This is a RPi2 with OSMC powered by a official RPi power supply.

I’d appreciate any helping tips to get this working again. Thanks!

Do you have a second SD Card where you can try a clean install of OSMC with upgrade to latest version?

Turned out to be my SD card which was broken in a interesting way (failing read data randomly). Flashed OSMC in a new SD and everything is working again.
