[Solved] OSMC crashes when playing a mkv extracted from YouTube

Hello

Using YouTube DL (on my Windows computer), i got the below video in mkv (11,1 Gb) :

The file is on a Linux NAS, shared to Kodi using NFS4.

When i try to play it with Kodi on my Vero, it crashes, no display, no network, nothing, i don’t have any other option than to reboot it electrically.

Here’s my log (kodi concerned log file is kodi.old.log) :

In case you need specifically the kodi.old.log, here it is : Upload files for free - kodi.old.log - ufile.io

Any idea ?

Thanks.

I’m going to check this out on my Vero 4K+.

Also plays fine on my Vero 4K+ with the [2022.03-1] software release.

Im guessing but did you check your display settings, I would recommend 1920x1080 60Hz. Enable Adjust Refresh Rate and Kodi will switch to 4K when necessary.

Sorry, forgot this post with the summer holidays.
I’m already at 1920x1080@60Hz in Kodi.

I’ll check for refresh rate, but it plays fine now.

@Kontrarian : not the same encoding settings on the file
