[SOLVED] Setup wizard loop

Hello,

I have a Raspberry Pi 3B+ and I am trying to set up OSMC on it.

Here’s what I’m doing and what’s happening:

  1. I write the RPi 2/3 image to the SD card (I tried both with the official installer and Etcher).
  2. I boot the RPi from the SD card.
  3. The RPi boots, OSMC resizes the partitions and installs successfully.
  4. OSMC reboots.
  5. Upon startup the setup wizard is started.
  6. I go through the wizard (i.e. specifying language, timezone, etc.)
  7. After finishing the wizard OSMC reboots.
  8. Upon startup the setup wizard is started again.

So, am I doing something wrong or missing something? What can I do to troubleshoot the issue?

The SD card has likely failed and fallen in to a silent read only mode

This was indeed the case, it worked with another SD card.
