Sometimes appearse ":(" on my OSMC.... UPower problem?

Hi guys,
sometimes I’m getting the OMSC background with the “:(” simbol… I’ve checked and I’m up to date so I’m searching on the .kodi/temp/kodi.log and I’ve found some error messages about UPower:
"ERROR: DBus: Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.freedesktop.UPower was not provided by any .service files"

Other error messages are written on the log file:
" ERROR: Window Translator: Can’t find window tv
ERROR: Previous line repeats 1 times.**
ERROR: Window Translator: Can’t find window pvrosddirector
ERROR: Window Translator: Can’t find window pvrosdcutter
ERROR: Window Translator: Can’t find window tv
ERROR: Previous line repeats 1 times.
ERROR: Window Translator: Can’t find window pvrosddirector
ERROR: Window Translator: Can’t find window pvrosdcutter"

And some warmings:
"WARNING: CDVDMessageQueue(player)::Put MSGQ_NOT_INITIALIZED"

"WARNING: JSONRPC: Could not parse type "PVR.Details.Channel"
WARNING: JSONRPC: Could not parse type "PVR.Details.ChannelGroup.Extended"
WARNING: JSONRPC: Could not parse type "GUI.Property.Value"
WARNING: JSONRPC: Could not parse type “Setting.Details.SettingList” "

I’m using an Apple charger for iPad (~2.1A) for my Raspy… What do you think?

It also happens to me that sometimes my Raspy freeze and I have to power cycle…

Can you please help me?

NOT the best choice of power supplies, Apple chargers are known to drop voltage as amperage increases, possibly by design. GOOD for a CHARGER, BAD for a regulated POWER SUPPLY

This is irrelevant.

Sam

Auch! Never know that Apple charger is not a good choice… that’s could be my problem for the freeze? On Raspberry Pi 2 if I’m not wrong there is a power led monitoring problem on power, isn’t it?
Where can I search on the logs of the Raspy for that problem?

Anyway… can you please suggest me a good power supply for a Pi 2 qith OSMC with 1 TB WD USB drive?

Thanks fro response!

A dozen USB chargers in the lab: Apple is very good, but not quite the best have a look at the voltage graphs near the bottom. These are supposed to be pretty good https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/universal-power-supply/

Also make sure you’re not on the old Turbo preset - the speed for Turbo has been dropped in the October update to make it more stable but if you have not updated yet you would still be on the old turbo profile.

Thanks guy! I think I have to buy the official Raspberry power supply to be sure.

I’ve enabled the overclock on the OSMC settings to boot the cpu to 1000GHz and I’m up to date with the OSMC updates… could be the overclock with the iPad charger my problem?
I’ll try to disable the OC when at home.

PS: is there a way to be sure me power supply is the problem?

Higher overclocks require better quality power - so until you have a better power adaptor change the overclock back to normal and that may help.
