Static IP when default gateway keeps changing

Hi

I upgraded my phone to android 11 and I noticed that when using hotspot on my phone to connect and control my raspberry pi, the default gateway on hotspot changes every time I enable it.

How do I set a static address on my pi when default gateway 192.168.x.x where the X numbers change every time?

Must be new feature of android 11. Android 10 always had same default gateway hotspot.

Hi,

I don’t think you can, but you better of asking you phone manufacture or on https://support.google.com/android/community?hl=en for support.

This is beyond the scope of osmc support.

Ok I’ll ask Xiaomi see if they can do anything. If it’s an android 11 feature I doubt they can do much.
