Has anyone noticed on certain files, you get this at the bottom left
Its like only that section is delayed by a fraction of a second? I thought it was only on old files, but also have this on a new episode. It more noticable when the scene changes from light to dark etc. but when you pause it goes away
If no ones seen it before, i`ll reboot, play file and run logs
thanks
Hi,
Please proceed with providing logs.
Thanks Tom.
To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.
Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:
-
enable debug logging at settings->system->logging
-
reboot the OSMC device twice(!)
-
reproduce the issue
-
upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader
method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh
method invoking command grab-logs -A
-
publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.

Can you upload some MediaInfo or a sample of the video affected?
Thanks
Sam
Hi Sam
I can let you download the file off me, I`ve sent you a PM, its 620mb so no idea where else i could upload it
Hi Sam, can you advise what you would like me to do, another file in the same series does the same
I’d suggest proving a sample and some MediaInfo output.
My guess is the resolution isn’t divisible by 8.
See above, if you PM me i can send link to file, but as its on my ftp dont want everyone clicking link
Maybe you could upload an extract to WeTransfer.com or some other file-sharing site?
cheers, long time since i looked at places you could upload to without it been linked to an account
video
recording of the issue
Anyone replicated what im experiencing with that file?
Not yet — I’ll check when I get a chance.
I’ll check this out tomorow
Sam
Cheers Sam, did you manage to replicate the problem?
I didn’t see it myself on Tuesday. I’ve asked others to see if they can reproduce the issue. You say it occurs on certain files? Could you post MediaInfo of some other affected files?
Are they all from the same TV series for example?
Does disabling the whitelist and changing Adjust Refresh Rate to Always help?
Sam
Before they was all old tv series, so thought it would just phase out. But it does happen on a few different ones, currently its just that tv series
So whitelisted all 1280x720, still same and changed the refresh to always from start/stop, still same
Yeah, whats easiest way to show you the media info, is it the below you need?
thanks
Can you post the full info? Should give you a lot of text which you can copy and paste
Cheers
Sam
this any good?
