Hi, what is the preferred way to copy files from a Windows PC to the PI2 running OSMC RC with attached USB disks (which are formatted as NTFS):

  1. Using the SAMBA server or
  2. Using the vsftp server?

It would seem samba would be the easiest solution.

Just to add – Samba is available via the App Store.

I added SAMBA via the App Store but there could be a viable Linux reason (note that I’m a Linux noob) that FTP would be a better choice… :smile:

My preferred method is to use WinSCP. This connects via SSH so no additional services required.
