Stuttering after June update?

Hi, Just a heads up of possible playback issue…

Only just took the June update on Vero 2. After the update, I saw some stuttering on MKV videos especially during high rate of change / motion in picture - or with high bitrate sources like MKVs of Blu-ray Discs. With some corruption on sound at those times.

Rebooting an extra time seems to have cured it - just done more testing - But not 100% sure yet but looks promising.

Anyone else had issues ?

BTW the reboot took 3 minutes (“Wait for complete device initialisation”) which seemed odd.

We would need to see some logs to get a better understanding of what’s going on here

Thanks Sam. I’ll keep an eye on it and update this thread. Can’t really see why an extra reboot would have fixed it

I notice some stuttering and buffering too for some 4K movies on my Vero 4K+ connected with LAN cable. Files are on a Linux server with RAID10 disk config. Throughput tested with dd shows XXXX MB/s (the command is running now…will update).

The behavior is random so it seems and starts with stuttering followed by a short freeze and than the buffering ‘circle’ is shown for 5 to 20 seconds.
More background: TV is 4K LG OLED and the Force 4:2:2 colour subsampling is enabled as well as Adjust display refresh rate = On start/stop.

I’ll collect logfile from such an event and will add it here, meanwhile the logfile without debugging enabled:
