Hi,
Would that commit work on a Vero 4K+, since it’s also affected by this issue? I’d be willing to test your fix if possible.
Hi,
Would that commit work on a Vero 4K+, since it’s also affected by this issue? I’d be willing to test your fix if possible.
Applied on Vero V and all affected files I tested so far seem to work normal again, thanks
Will keep on testing during the next days and report if I may experience the issue again.
Unfortunately Vero 4K / 4K+ support is now end of life.
The patch has worked for me.
limited testing but difference is night and day.
chapter skipping and random forward and backward seeking behaved the same as on PC.
great work.
i’m so accustomed to products just getting worse., it is refreshing to see issues addressed promptly,
Cheers. I’ll see what we can do in regards to 4K/4K+ about a backport. But this really will be a final update kind of affair.
My understanding is that you just got it. So we have plenty of time to disappoint you yet
3 posts were split to a new topic: Vero V requests
Getting way off topic here.
That’s much appreciated, otherwise we would need to manually install a previous version, or get stuck with a buggy playback experience. A last update to fix this issue would be a perfect ending to the 4K/4K+ support cycle, IMO. Thanks!
I understand what you’re saying but there will always be one more bug…
I came to the forums to check for this issue and I have the same on my new Vero V. I’m glad to see you already created a patch. What’s the expected timeframe until this is released on the stable channel. Sam?
It would be great if this issue could be fixed for the Vero 4K/4K+
I already ordered a Vero V after the issues I have been having with the latest update, but it would be great to still be able to use the most recent version on the Vero 4K without the issues, because at the moment any jump forwards or backwards stops the video on a lot of my mediafiles which would make the 4K not really useable anymore.
you’re right,
so please just give us a way to manually rollback to previous version.
I used the step by step here : Reinstalling OSMC - Vero 4K - OSMC
So I rolled back to OSMC 20241003 and my issue is solved.
Thx
Seeking is also broken on my Vero 4K+ with the latest March update, freezing about 90% of videos. Some never recover, most often pausing/unpausing helps faster. Codec/HW settings don’t help. Unfortunately it’s now unusable as a media player.
I understand ending support after years of great updates and we are very grateful for all of your work. I’d try a downgrade but it’s very intimidating due to custom services and scripts, despite backups. A hotfix for this bug would be greatly appreciated. If donations could help the final hotfix effort, please let us know.
The brave little Vero 4k+ certainly deserves to retire as an awesome, reliable media player, just as it was a few weeks ago. It shall eventually become the center of a secondary setup once I can get the Vero V.
Again, thank you and the team, in advance as well.
I will see what can be done.
