Sync between 2 pi's

Hey all,

I’m new to this whole thing and just had a question.

I currently have 2 pi’s, one which is the new model running OSMC, the other which is the 512mb model running Raspbmc. Currently when I watch a show, it will have a little tick next to it saying that I have seen it, but on the other Pi this will not sync up.

My question, is there a way I can put the temporary files/database that deals with this onto my central NAS drive, and then have both Pi’s looking at it, so that it will show what I’ve seen on both devices?

Sorry if this is a silly question/

thanks

This is what you want.

As ActionA mentions MySQL is the best way to go about it.

The easy way out, how I do it, is to share the library via upnp.

Olay, cool - thanks for the help everyone. I’ll probably go down to the mysql route.
I’ll try and see if I can get it done after work tonight, and let you all know how I get on.

Thanks again!
