OK debug info below, not much in the way of an error, i can see it is trying to cache online image when kodi restarts but don’t see anything after that in the log, it just stops writing. i checked the path in my browser and the image exists, i was following through the log as i was scrolling through my movie library, and it seems it doesn’t always crash in this scenario, sometimes where the fanart.jpg is missing it successfully grabs and caches the image from the net, perhaps the problematic ones are large images? (the example is, filled my screen hi-res in Firefox)
it appears to be a combination of size of image and grabbing online, i manually saved the poster and fanart to the folder 3835x2160 and 2000x3000 respectively and didn’t get any issue when scrolling to it through my library, Kodi cached them and displayed poster and fanart without issue
There was such option in some version of libcec (newer or older than 4.0 I cant remember) but for me it wasn’t stopping live tv…
But anyway what I was reporting is that it is wierd that the same version of libcec is showing different option.
Hi Guys I have this problem… sometimes when I restart my rpi3 osmc reset the default skin and configuration. this is the kodi logs http://paste.osmc.io/hihekutiqo
Can u help me please?
did not works in my case. Clean install on RPI3; browsing the addons is slow as hell.
Steps to reproduce:
1, Install Youtube addon
2. Go in the section “Popular right now”
3. Go next page for a couple of pages
4. Going back (the system seems that re-query the previous page instead to have it in cache)
Very annoying compared with Kodi 16 that the browsing it is immediate in case of backward direction or in any cached situation.
applying the tweak indicated in your post it fix the browsing (somehow); still present however when a video is terminating from an addon (youtube in my test), the system still thinking a while instead to give immediately the last menu when the video was selected.
I’ve post my issue in Kodi forum of course; just post here to see if other folks have the same issue of me.
As usual whenever there is a new update my Vero 1 automatic download and I just click Yes to update, i didn’t know that it will update to kodi 17. Kodi 17 is not stable for me, i have several crashed lately ( sad face ) . Is there a way to rolled back the updated?
