[TESTING] Kodi 17 (Krypton) builds for Raspberry Pi (continued)

Thanks @ActionA.

For the addons/skins, sorry my question was poorly written. As the version will be 16.8 and not 17.0, will addons/skins recognized a Krypton build and propose the correct version? For the proper run/execution of each, I completely understand that I have to check for each important addon before upgrading.

M.

Yes

16.8 is just an internal versioning scheme

Thanks.

Great Support as usual. Thanks everyone. I will think about testing that after checking the very few addons I canā€™t live without :slight_smile:

Yatse recently stopped working for me, anyone else has that issue with v17?

Hello gmc,
nothing, Iā€™ve reinstalled everything and now it works; just a guess: in the previous installation I had set Confluence skin, perhaps that setting broke somehow the system once upgraded; keeping OSMC skin and upgrade to 17 went fine.

Aside: addons menu on system is not responding here, is this normal?

den

If you use Estuary skin do you still have the same issue?

Yes; Iā€™ve managed the add-ons installation using the right top icon in add-on menu

Iā€™ve tested it on my installation and it works fine. Can you enable debug logs, replicate the issue and upload the logs.

Thanks will check again, have also a strange CEC issue in the moment

What version of libcec do you have installed?

Hi GMC,

will need to check detail later but something 3.1xxx
Wrote the error message to you yesterday.

@gmc,
just checked

osmc@osmc.my.hk:~$ dpkg -l | grep cec
ii rbp2-libcec-osmc 3.1.0-1

And error message is popup ā€œPulse-Eight CEC adapter Detected Version of libCEC interface (30001) is lower than the supā€¦ā€

Logfile shows

22:28:33 174.216034 T:1800401904 DEBUG: script.module.osmcsetting.updates : - blurp 445 - SettingsCategory.xml

And under Input Devices I donā€™t find anymore the option to disable CEC. Did it move somewhere else?

@gmc

You need to purge your builderā€™s toolchain.
