[TESTING] Kodi 17 (Krypton) builds for Raspberry Pi (continued)

here is the deal you need linux knowledge we cant teach you how to do simple things that should is basic…

if your really unsure of how to use a repo how are you going to be able to check for bugs or even try workarounds when build breaks ?

the thing you should ask yourself is if its worth running bleeding edge stuff if your linux skills arent that great.

sometimes is better to wait for something good… rather then force it.

Sorry for this, i totally missed the first post. Just moved here since the old thread was closed.

I’ve updated to 16.8-051 using the methods described there and the HDMI-CEC issues have disappeared.
I do still have the undervoltage icon pesent, so i guess i need a better power supply.

Tnx for the pointers, sorry for the lack of reading

And or cable!

16.8-052, 09 April 2016: Based off OSMC commit (d388397) and newclock5 commit 076fb35)

Highlights

  • NOTE: DVD playback remains temporarily disabled
  • libcec 3.1.0-2 added as a dependency

newclock5

New commits in this build:

MMALRenderer: Wait for vsync after presenting (bde94648)

I have added the necessary packages for DVD playback to OSMC.

I have pinged @gmc about how to get this to work with Krypton.

has anyone else notice addon install not working? thanks!

@DrJube installing addons works just third party addons thats blocked and its simply unblocked by ticking in install from unknown sources.

So its not a bug its a feature and its documented might wanna check Kodi forums for more info.

Yep, download.osmc.tv seems to have a problem. I already told @sam_nazarko so suggest you wait for an update in here

Hello @gmc,

I use your nightly builds with my RPi 2 and for now it is stable for me.
I also use the Amazon Prime addon from Sandmann79 from the kodinerds Forum.
For now i have copie the inputstream.mpd addon from the openelec nightly. This works great and i can watch Amazon Prime movies on my RPi2.
But from version 16.8-049 and higher the stream has no total duration. So i can’t fast forward or rewind. And there is no resume point if i stop the playback.
If i downgrade to version 16.08-048 i have a total duration.
Other streaming services or other platforms like Windows or Ubuntu are not affected.

Have you an idea how i can solve this?
And are you plan to inegrate the inputstream.mpd addon to your builds?

thx

You need to use the updated repository URL.

The files haven’t moved per se, but it seems that the line needs revising in APT due to how we handle things at the backend.

Hi sam, thanks for all your hard work. I updated the repository URL as top of the page, and I’m getting further into the install, but its still not finding the files when i install it.

You need to explain the error that you are receiving and show the commands you are running

sure thing… I have first run sudo apt-get update, which runs without problem.
Then I used various commands which all have same results:
sudo apt-get install rbp2-mediacenter-osmc
sudo apt-get install rbp2-mediacenter-osmc=16.8-053

it’s basically telling me 404 not found

Heh,

Does deb http://download.osmc.tv/dev/gmc / and re-running apt-get update and apt-get install help?
