@gmc my issue may not be v17 related but it just happens after I upgraded.
Video get stucked every now and then with audio continuing and video then jumps to catch up.

Iām experiencing the same issue as you - OSMC logo is displayed but no options/icons. Also seeing
ERROR: EXCEPTION: Unknown addon id 'script.module.osmcsetting.apfstore'.
ERROR: EXCEPTION: Unknown addon id 'script.module.osmcsetting.logging'.
ERROR: EXCEPTION: Unknown addon id 'script.module.osmcsetting.remotes'.

Will do some more digging.
Its working on my Pi1, but broken on Pi2, but then I have been messing around with osmc skin on the Pi2.
Going to try a rebuild and see if the issue persists.
Update: Rebuilt Pi2 with April 2016 release. Upgraded to 16.8-058. MyOSMC broken with unknown ID errors.
I did another test of my sample to see how progress has been coming along. Do you have any idea what is causing the bad performance. Since the Pi hardware is capable when running OE.
Newest OSMC - 175 dropped and 100 skipped (over duration)
Version after vacation - 120 dropped and 220 skipped (over duration)
Last OSMC from before your vacation - 300 dropped and 14 skipped (over duration)
OE - 9 dropped and 2 skipped (at start, with perfect playback after)
Can you provide the sample - will see if I have the same issues.
I havenāt experienced any performance issues on the nightlies yet.
Why are you releasing unofficial builds when you complain about people who test?
there are things you can expect when you let people try, it will be craches they do not understand ā¦
Solve the problem by shutting down the test builds.
it works for you, it works for all the people and thats great
i really like people with your attitude
Here was the sample I provided.
File ID is not correct. File doesnāt exist.
That is strange why the board cut out part of the middle

what im saying is that testing isnāt for the newbie some experience is needed else there isnāt much point to if they dont know what they are supposed to look forā¦ as for peoples perception on me i could care less cause i rather be honest then spare feeling cause lets face it feelings isnāt gonna make a stable releaseā¦
here is a good tip LOGS LOGS LOGS LOGS if shit hits the fan dont describe what happened and leave it at that PROVIDE LOGS.
Thanks. Also seeing the same issues - lots of skipping. Will look into it.
Thanks
@shadow can also confirm skipping
@gmc cant reproduce the broken myosmc addon neither me or fzinken however i got a crash upon update to 59
Before I knew it was specific to these builds I posted the sample on the kodi.tv Raspberry Pi forum and after finding out from Millhouse that OE played it great popcornmix said it was probably just a missed commit or something so hopefully. You can track down the problem easily.
Very odd - rebuild my Pi1 and 2 and have the issue on both of them.
Install April release selecting OSMC skin. Then upgrade to nightly. MyOSMC addon seems to get disabled so I need to go to add on manager and re-enable it. Run addon and its broken.

Update: The plot thicks - if I go into My Addons - the myosmc updates addon is disabled. Re-enabling it now gives me the osmc and updates icons.
Could these addons somehow have become disabled?

I donāt seem them listed in myaddons so am stumped.
running the new kodi skin as default and got no issue with myosmc its working no problems changing values eitherā¦
just that random crash above when i upgraded to 59 other then that its running just fine.
16.8-058, 16 April 2016: Based off OSMC commit (b0fa336b1) and newclock5 (8bbe53bc)
Highlights
- DVD playback has now been enabled. libdvdnav, libdvdread and libdvdcss will now be automatically installed.
newclock5
New commits in this build:
VideoPlayer: some cleanup to interfaces (b1b16571)
Ran a few tests on the OSMC stable - April build. Drops occurring there as well.
This is the same behaviour iām experiencing at the moment. The addon is disabled by default. Once you enable it it then complains about missing skin assets and when you open it itās just blank. Iām currently digging around in the assets trying to see how theyāre linked. If i can find a solution iāll let you know.
Iām not having a dig by the way when finding these issues - iām genuinely trying to help fix them.
Appreciate it. Also trying to work out what triggers this.
At least I can replicate the issue on the Pi1&2. Might try go back a few versions to see which nightly it started with.
Can confirm that after enabling the myosmc addon components, the addon is working fine.
To do this I went in System->Add-ons->Manage dependencies and enabled all myosmc components (which btw are listed as āorphanedā).
