Anything change on your network with DNS?

Might have been a temporary issue. Try another update, failing that have you tried restarting.

Problem fixed… Was my content filter there was blocking it… Ups

Hello,

This week I installed Kodi 18 on a RPI 3B+ and found that the fixed ethernet connetion is not working (wifi does work). I went back to the latest official osmc version and there fixed ethernet is working. To double check I upgraded again to Kodi 18 to find that fixed ethernet is not working.

I suppose this is a driver issue but i am not sure, I didn’t check any loggings

Does the Kodi 18 build contain the updates for the RPI 3B+??

Kodi v18 is not a build.
The underlying OS is the same.

After 19-march beta update (i think) my Pi 3 gets a sad face after the system try to boot.

My system is in the Kodi 18, with the testing builds.

Can anyone help me? I’ve tried some of the foruns tutorials for sad face splash, but nothing happened.

Here’s the log file: http://paste.osmc.tv/jabosavahi

Sorry for the bad english, cheers.

I moved your post here.

If you use a testing branch than please stay in the testing thread for reporting. The issue has been discussed here in the last days including the solution

Thanks!! You’re the best.

I up the 17.8-194 to 17.8-197 on Rpi3.
The Rpi don’t start (smiley :frowning: )
I downgrade to 17.8-196 the same
I return to 17.8-194 => OK

Are you running version 1.x of libbluray.

Otherwise please post a debug log.

Hi gmc,
I have just installed the alpha latest Leia version on my new Raspberry Pi 3 B+ board… Everything seems to work fine except the wired (ethernet) connection. I understand that is too early to make your alpha Leia project fully compatible with the new hardware!
Just wanted to mention this issue…
Thanks in advance
Alex

Some other issue going on there. OSMC has already been updated for the B+. You shouldn’t make any difference what version of Kodi you run.

17.8-198, 23 March 2018: Based off OSMC commit (7ed975ab) and newclock5 (b1e4016)

XBMC:

  • [cpluff] link with cpluff instead of loading it dynamic (PR:13673, 1 commit, 10 files changed)
  • offload videodb task from mainthread to job (PR:13652, 1 commit, 7 files changed)

inputstream.adaptive:

  • url_decode license_key postbody template part if it starts with % (3b092d4)

Includes latest addons: inputstream.adaptive (3b092d4, +17), inputstream.rtmp (7fe7dde, +2), peripheral.joystick (8374cb4, +2), pvr.argustv (3556049), pvr.demo (8f62053), pvr.dvblink (594e062), pvr.dvbviewer (f1746c5, +1), [url=https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.filmon]pvr.filmon/url, pvr.hdhomerun (f3e0177), pvr.hts (095784b), pvr.iptvsimple (933a5c4), pvr.mediaportal.tvserver (74e2bea), pvr.mythtv (345f9a7, +2), pvr.nextpvr (aa1c8d2), pvr.njoy (67b837d), pvr.octonet (689afbf), pvr.pctv (5b47d9f), pvr.stalker (77eec69), pvr.teleboy (3ccd06f, +1), pvr.vbox (57f3198), pvr.vdr.vnsi (4db947c), pvr.vuplus (dc230dd), pvr.wmc (e0a9190), pvr.zattoo (3c46173), vfs.libarchive (6ce469f, +1)

I don’t know the libbluray version
I already use the packing of here

And i don’t know to have the log, the OSMC don’t start and freeze at the beginning with a big sad smiley

See here:

Thanks for your quick response gmc… I am running 17.8-197 alpha version of Leia. With the latest 17.6 version of OSMC KODI everything was working fine! But I think that they have changed the hardware a little bit on the latest motherboard (especially on ethernet and wifi speed communication)
Alex

Think you are missing the point. Kodi runs on top of OSMC. Sam has already made changes to make OSMC compatible with model B+.

This was done with a kernel update:

If you are running the latest OSMC updates then its irreverent whether you run 17.6 or 18. Both will work.

Hi,

I’m having the exact same issue, wired ethernet is not working on the 3B+ version.

I understand that kodi is running on top of OSMC and ethernet is working in the latest version of OSMC, but something must have changed since I am not able to get wired ethernet up and running when I install Kodi 18.

Apparently I am not alone
