I just installed 17.8-198, and osmc has gone sad face.
‘journalctl -xe’ reveals, that something is referencing libbluray.so.2, which is nowhere to be found.
It seems, that soft-linking it to libbluray.so.1.10.0 temporarily fixes this:
commandline:
sudo ln -s /usr/osmc/lib/libbluray.so.1.10.0 /usr/osmc/lib/libbluray.so.2

When using a testing build I suggest to check the thread a bit more

You are still running an older version of libbluray. I’ve add the latest version to my repo so try
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

wifi works and usb ethernet adapter works
You must provide diagnostic logs if you wish to receive any meaningful assistance to find resolution to your issue!
Those are apt logs. Useless in troubleshooting your problem.
