I take the opportunity to bounce back on this new update where I see that there are some changes made to the management of languages.
There would be no way that in Kodi the system also takes the setting of the keyboard (AZERTY/ QWERTY) for the physical keyboard and not just the virtual?

Because having to systematically reload the location parameter in linux to find the right physical keyboard, every update/reboot is a bit heavy.

Are you referring to the Transifex changes?

among others. it is more a reflection on the general operation, which requires that naturally the mode of location may be different between the virtual keyboard and the physical keyboard.
And the work on translations made me think of that.

You will need to take that up with the Kodi development team

Here’s another one for you!

On my RPi 3 B+ I installed Sandmann79’s Amazon VOD on the current 04-2018 Kodi 17 release of OSMC before upgrading to this Kodi Leia version. Upon reopening Amazon VOD after the upgrade it prompted me to update the widevinecdm.dll file and proceeded to download another ChromeOS recovery image (~2GB). At around 5% in to the download the Pi froze (GUI, web control and SSH) so after 20+ minutes I pulled the plug and tried again. Since then though it hasn’t asked for an updated widevinecdm.dll and considers all related add-ons up-to-date when given the choice. When I try to play a video on Amazon VOD it considers it for a moment - with the loading icon - before ignoring the command and going back to the choice of programs.

This is the link to the debugging log file. although I didn’t have debug log set at the time of the crash: https://paste.osmc.tv/yehiwasewu

If widevinecdm.dll needs updating with this Kodi18 how would I do that manually?

Looks like widevine didn’t upgrade.

21:55:06.467 T:1618997984 ERROR: AddOnLog: InputStream Adaptive: Unable to find license;hdcpEnforcementResolutionPixels in JSON string
21:55:06.467 T:1618997984 ERROR: AddOnLog: InputStream Adaptive: License update not successful (no keys)

Try this:

You have to use the newest available libwidevine.so for Amazon, older versions doesn't work anymore and displaying the Unable to find license;hdcpEnforcementResolutionPixels error message.

So remove the entire /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.module.inputstreamhelper directory and delete this file /home/osmc/.kodi/cdm/libwidevinecdm.so.

If not done yet, you should update OSMC to newest available build.

After that just start any video, so Inputstream Helper can download the libwidevine library.

Just had a download bug with a freeze at 3% of some addons.

That’s good news. Things are starting to settle again.

Hello !

Since an older update, some movies are jerky. Only h.265 movies lags, I have no problem with h.264 movies.

I use a Pi 3 with osmc 17.8-235 and kodi 18.

Here the logs : https://paste.osmc.tv/ipewahateg

Is there any solution ?

Thanks in advance.

Don’t see any Kodi logs in the link? Where are you playing the files from, locally, over network? smb/nfs?

Unfortunately, the Pi3 is too weak to decode HEV in software, and it can’t do it in hardware either. Same for the 3+ as well. The excempt for this is 720p24 or 720p30, that’s the most it can do in HEVC/H.265. If you’re willing to overclock and install custom heatsinks, you might be able to squeeze out some 1080p24 with low to medium bitrate.

Get a Vero4K and enjoy UHD.

My files are on an usb external har disk. The logs come from the command grab-logs -a (I don’t know other command).

I have the Pi 3+ (a02082 so B model if I’m not mistaken ), I was thinking that it can run some h.265, my fault.

I will only watch h.264 movie.

Thank you for your answers.

@DrBob you need to use capital A in grabbing logs.

Thank you ! I post my logs even if the problem seems to be the capacity of the rasp.

Best would be to upgrade to a Vero 4k.

On a side note you are running blacklisted addons so we are unable to support you further.
