Your system should be running Stretch which was released a few months ago. Either your system was not upgraded (Not sure how this is possible as you have been running nighlites correct?) or your sources file is horrible messed up.

Hey I’m having an issue with getting the Leia build on my rpi3

After runningwget -qO - http://download.osmc.tv/dev/gmc-18/gpg.key | sudo apt-key add -
I just get the message gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found Triple checked everything and have zero clue why this is happening.

Just tried it and its working here. Can you post the output of

wget http://download.osmc.tv/dev/gmc-18/gpg.key

I’m on 17.8.263 trying to upgrade to 17.8.264 but the below code advises nothing to upgrade?

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Doh! It would help if I update it on aptly. Should be up within the hour.

Getting sadface loop shortly after the gui loads with the latest update, id missed a few updates so rolled back to 17.8-263 and everything back working fine.

Haven’t got the time to post logs but will upgrade in the morning when i get a chance and post some logs.

Try stop mediacenter and rename .kodi to something like .kodi.old.
Then restart mediacenter.

This will start up kodi with a clean install. Some config or add-on might be playing up with the new build.

I’ll try that thanks.
It’ll mean reinstalling all my addons again wont it?

Yes. You will need to setup again (Add sources/addons etc)

Another user in the 4k thread had the same issue with the recent build (Renaming kodi fixed the issue) so its pointing to a suspect addon.

OK.
I don’t use that many addons so i’ll reinstall them one at a time and see if i can identify the culprit.

I upgraded again, stopped mediacenter, renamed ~/.kodi to ~/.kodiold, rebooted, just about to start reinstalling addons and i got the sadface.

Its not like a constant loop though, the gui starts and after maybe 20-60 seconds, it’ll sadface again.

Im rolling back again so i can watch the football, happy to assist again later.

Seeing the crash but not sure what’s causing it. Will do some digging.

Jul 06 17:56:42 osmc mediacenter[834]: kodi.bin: pthread_mutex_lock.c:349: __pthread_mutex_lock_full: Assertion `INTERNAL_SYSCALL_ERRNO (e, __err) != EDEADLK || (kind != PTHREAD_MUTEX_ERRORCHECK_NP && kind != PTHREAD_MUTEX_RECURSIVE_NP)’ failed.

Thanks, if its any help 17.8-263 is working perfectly, not sure about the versions 17.8-264 or 17.8-265…i skipped those.

LE were also having similar crash issues. Reversion of this patch seems to fix it. Will revert in the next nightly and see if it fixes the problem.

Thanks.
I’ll test it when available.
