[TESTING] Kodi 18 (Leia) builds for Raspberry Pi

Just thought I’d throw in an observation. I use Trakt to monitor my watched and new episodes. I have it set to show unwatched shows/episodes. I’ve noticed ever since I started using the nightly’s that when I go back to the episodes list or shows list, I have all of the shows or episodes now listed. I have to go back out and re-select Collection to get back to the unwatched info. It does it on all of the addons I’m currently using. Am I missing a setting maybe? Or is this a known issue?

Note: When OSMC stable is released it will be based on 18.1. The Nightly builds are now at 18.2RC1 so in order to avoid confusion its time to bump the nightly releases to 18.8

This requires that you update your sources.list and point to gmc-19. (See first post) If you run the nightly 18.8 builds you will not automatically upgrade to 18.1 stable when it’s released (As the build number will be lower)

Update your sources.list
/etc/apt/sources.list

Thx!
1 question just to be sure (sorry for bothering BTW). If I stay with current /etc/apt/sources.list then my testing installation will become stable with the official release of 18.1? I assume it will be announced within current branch

http://apt.osmc.tv stretch main

My current /etc/apt/sources.list contains:

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian stretch main contrib non-free

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stretch-updates main contrib non-free

deb http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates main contrib non-free

deb http://apt.osmc.tv stretch main

deb http://download.osmc.tv/dev/gmc-18 gmc-18 main

i have a bug i can not hide the skin helper service widget from video addons

That is correct as long as you don’t go gmc-19, you should get the stable when it’s released

Report that to the developer of that skin helper dev or the skin dev its not a kodi 18 issue

thought it belongs to osmc is an osmc skin why do I have to write because dev ?? apart from that, I can not do it

Where exactly can’t you hide it? We have a bug with the current builds re the scripts that we use with our skin. This should be solved soon though.
But your issue doesn’t sound like it’s related to that. Could you post a screenshot?

Do we know any dates when gmc-18 is released in stable?

I indicated in the widget that it should be hidden. but it is on time before it was always gone

It’s now shipped as part of OSMC. Before you probably hadn’t installed it… I can’t think of a reason why it would’ve been hidden and is now visible although you had already installed it before.
As far as I can tell, there’s no way of hiding addons from the addons sections.

When Devs thinks it ready for release

you have to install it since 17.8-431 because otherwise the coustum menu does not work in the setting but man can specify that it should be verteckt but it does not work

Where can you hide it? I’m not aware of that option.
Maybe it’s not possible anymore because the script is now pre-installed with OSMC.
