Thanks for the great work. I am currently testing the Kodi 18 alpha builds on the vero4k with regards to DRM content (Amazon VOD, Youtube 1080p+).
The YouTube App plays 1080p stuff fine and does not use the input.stream.adaptive.decoder (SW). Whereas the Amazon VOD addon for Kodi sometimes uses the input.stream.adaptive.decoder (SW) - e.g. for the Prime Offering of the tv show “The Grand Tour” (Season 1). When the input.stream.adaptive.decoder kicks in the decoding is really slow and there are a lot missed frames. For other tv shows - e.g. Family Guy Season13 - the HW-decoder “am-h264” is used and playback is very smooth!
Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? Is it right that only software (CPU-based) decoding and no HW-decoding can be done when the input.stream.adaptive.decoder is used?

In Youtube I just managed to get even 4K material playing using MPEG-DASH with the following inputstream adaptive settings:
Min. BW: 10.000.000 Bit/s
Max. BW: 0
Max. Resolution general decoder: Max
Max. Resolution secure decode: Max
Stream Selection: Auto (when set to Manual it uses 256x144px)
Media: All
Override HDCP Status: Off
Ignore Display Resolution: On (because I just have a 1080p screen)
