Hey folks,
I’ve been running OSMC for the past year or so without any major issue. Thought I’d follow the instructions found here to upgrade to a beta test: [TESTING] Kodi 18 (Leia) builds for Raspberry Pi
Sadly, I’m now stuck in the sad face boot loop… any ideas as to what might be wrong? I can’t see anything glaringly obvious in the logs:

Try
sudo systemctl mediacenter stop sudo mv .kodi kodi.bak sudo systemctl mediacenter start
Cheers ActionA, that resolved the sad face issue.
It appears that the “OSMC” addon is incompatible with this version of Kodi… I assume there’s some missing settings in my old .kodi directory. Any ideas? It’s just loading into the Kodi GUI with the estuary skin.

Do you mean the OSMC add-on or the OSMC skin?

I’ve reverted to a backup I took before trying the Alpha Kodi release. Might just wait until it’s officially released!
