Wrong IP in your SSH? Do you have any Vero 4ks active?
I have no idea how that happened. I do have 4Ks but this is weird.
Here are the correct logs from the Vero V. These are slightly edited:
No sign of a DV-capable display in that log. Was a TV connected?
Yes. And it showed Dolby Vision on the TV when I started viewing the movies.
Thought Iād do a quick test of Dolby Vision playback on my Vero-V (+ Yamaha RX-A2A/LG OLED48CX6LB)
After updating to to the development sources - āosmc-devl.listā (noting that I am on kernel 4.9.269-72-osmc), I tried a couple of test files with the following results :
-
Profile 7 - āHybrid HDR10Plus DV Sample.mkvā
The TV indicated in that it had detected āDolby Visionā (top right hand corner of the screen), however the screen remained completely blank/black with the audio playing OK. -
Profile 5 - ādolby-vision-amaze-(dolby-vision)-(www.demolandia.net).mkvā
The TV indicated that it had detected āDolby Visionā, the screen remained completely blank/black with staggered audio playback. -
Profile 4 - āLG Demo DolbyVision Comparison.mkvā
Seemed to play OK, but TV did not detect this as DV.
The debug log is here https://paste.osmc.tv/arocabiriv and should show these three attempts.
Is there an obvious answer to this ? Do I need to adjust any settings on the TV ?
The Vero-V Player Settings were set to allow DV (i.e. HDR processing is set to HDR (Auto)).
Hi Chris
Regarding Profile 4: please see the Implementation section of my original post. This is expected behaviour.
Will check the other issues reported shortly. Thanks for the log.
