Timeline on updating to Trixie?

Python3.9 is deprecated with some tools like yt-dlp and as such which breaks functionality in a few addons.

So what is the timeline for upgrading to a trixie base and get the latest python stuff?

TIA

Edit:

To forestall any suggestions to use the python-backports. That does not seem to be a good idea.

Very soon, we need it for Kodi v22.

Hi Sam,

do you plan the upgrade with Kodi 22 (still in alpha) included or independently of it? As the OP said, Python 3.9 is really an issue now. Is there already a OSMC beta on Trixie I could try and use instead on the Vero V?

Cheers

Trixie must come first.

No test builds yet
