Turn on from standby

I use a universal IR remote exclusivley with my Vero 4k+. I Only ever suspend it rather than put it into standby. This is because I could never find a way to bring it out of standyby with the IR remote.

Just checking this was the case and I was not missing anything.

Suspend is standby.
Do you mean shut down? That will require you to power cycle the device.

Yes I do, sorry for the confusion. I assume I can’t power cycle it with the IR remote ?

Not at this time. It is possible on the Vero V hardware but hasn’t been implemented yet. In the future we could potentially do it via an IR code but your remote would need to send this specific code.

Thanks, I can easily programe an IR hex code to my universal remote, but as I have a 4k+ that’s not an option I guess.

Unfortunately not, as of 31/01/25, the Vero 4K and 4K+ are end of life.
