You should try enabling it. Many WiFi dongles are quite thirsty for power. You will need to reboot after enabling to see it’s effect.

Just checked the wifi adapter box (just about to throw it away). it says it’s “TL-WN725N V2.1” haha, maybe there’s a bit update on the chipset that the existing driver unable to drive the adapter. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try it next time when I do an OSMC dist-upgrade.

I’m happy that compiling a driver works and existing driver does not work at least in my case. If plug in new wifi-adapter works “partially” out-of-box, and a newly compiled driver work “fully” Then I’d say it’s related to the generic driver. At least this is the logic i came to.
