Tv shows not showing in osmc

Hi guys

I have had some trouble lately with my raspberry Pi osmc not showing up any of my new tv shows, I have done some research on the net which I haven’t found helpful yet so I thought I’d come here and ask.

ALL my tv shows are labeled the same I have a program that auto changes the titles to

e.g “The Big Bang Theory - S09E01 - The Matrimonial Momentum”

I have checked this over and over its defiantly not it, even same spelling from IMDb.

I then read that Pi doesn’t support 265

Doesnt Work

Stream 0
Type: Video
Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
Language: English
Resolution: 1280x738
Display Resolution: 1280x720
Frame Rate: 23.976215
Decoded Format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV

So that doesn’t look like its it to me I then found how to go to file manager and look for the files manually and still couldn’t find them so after a couple days of messing round yesterday I got “unable to connect to remote server” not sure if this is common or not but all my movies worked no problem it’s just the tv shows, could it be because it’s not talking to IMDb?

Anyway hopefully I can get some help here I would love to know how to access the error log to see what the actual problem is but unfortunalty im still a noob with osmc and need a little help.

All files are kept on my PC in a “movie” and “episode” folder

TIA

TVshows and Movies must be kept in seperate directories and specified as such when adding sources.

http://kodi.wiki/view/Adding_video_sources

Edit: Not sure if that is what you are specifying here.

sorry yeah I have done this must not have explained myself well enough

I have a
Z: Drive with 2 folders in it
“episodes” then in this is all the names tv show folders.
“movies” only has movies in it no folders

I have added both of these folders to OSMC, in the past it has worked perfectly only recently has it stopped working and missing episodes.

There must be a local networking/sharing issue on your end. Providing logs would confirm this I suspect.

how do I get to the logs??
I think your right with the networking issue

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. Please see How to submit a useful support request - General - OSMC for advice on how to help us.

I hit the log uploader and it gave me this link

http://paste.osmc.io/manajaxusi

Something is not right, the paste is empty.

ok ill try a restart and a couple things and try again

ok that time it seems to have worked

Might simply be an issue with TVDB returning null results. TVDB has been quite flakey lately.

all the movies work perfectly, do they use something else?

So just wait it out and it’ll work???

There is also not showing up
The Big Bang Theory
Shameless
The Walking Dead
Chicago PD
Chicago Fire
Narcos
Making A Murderer
Marvels Agent Carter

and there is a couple more that I cant remember right now will they all be the same?

If theTVDB is returning no results, then I suppose you must wait. How long ago did you notice this behavior?

its been 4 days with the same results.

I have deleted the directory on both PI’s and now have different results, it seems that I am only getting a certain amount of shows loading up and its random which one it picks anyone seen anything like this before?

I have also done the most recent updates hoping this would fix it but nothing so far

I think I have found the problem all of the TV shows that arent showing up have multiple results in TVDB is there a way to force OSMC to only look at 1 entry?? I think I saw something about NFO file in the directory that will link it where to go is that right?
Or possibly add the show id somewhere

I use tvshow.nfo or movie.nfo and in that file have the url for imdb or thetvdb with full URL to the show/movie…

and from time to time, have a script exporting kodi meta to seperat file so does not have to fetch them again.
