Two questions from prospective purchaser

Hello,
have a couple of questions. First is will the Vero V do DV with my projector. Its a Nebula X1. Brand new. Has 3 modes of Dolby Bright, Dark and Vivid.

Second. Currently having issue with my Zidoo Z9X box where HDR and SDR are fine but DV has a raised black floor. I’m being told I might need a custom Edid. Does the Vero V support that?

First: should do, but does it support ‘Standard DV’? Without that you will be limited to HDR10 output although Profile 5 will play with the correct colours.

Second: Yes, you can load a custom EDID but I can’t think it would solve that problem. Where are you getting that advice? We could answer both questions better if you can post the EDID here. I don’t know how to do that on a Zidoo.

This is the edid

That tells us Standard DV is supported. Vero V will be happy with that.

That tells us quantization range is selectable for both YUV and RGB output. Maybe your Zidoo is sending the wrong HDMI signal?

Sorry, when you asked the same question last year, I didn’t realise you didn’t own a Vero. But I guess you didn’t have the X1 either

No not yet. Just got the X1. The black floor is wrong with DV currently and everything else is working. I’ll try custom edid. That’s why I wanted to confirm this could do it if needed.
