I had a system freeze which I could only unplug the power supply to restart the Vero V (Screen frozen andcouldnt ssh in at all to reboot)…
Afterwards whenever I tried to play anything it then crashed to sad face…
I reinstalled the system, restored a backup and reinstalled all the apps I wanted.
The ssh app loaded ut wouldn’t run and gave a message “stopped” It wouldn’t startup, so I uninstalled it, and reloaded it. Although it said installed it wasn’t and now I cant get passed that. How can I install it so I can ssh into it.
You can’t uninstall the SSH server on OSMC.
It is a dependency of OSMC.
Thanks for the reply Sam,
On the services screen ssh server is not listed. on the app store it is listed but doesn’t say installed like the others do.
My suggestion is to attach a USB keyboard and go to the command line (Exit Kodi) press Escape while exiting and login.
Then run:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall ssh-app-osmc
Thanks will try that now.
Sam, How do I do I get to the command line? I thought I pressed Home and OK on the remote but that doesn’t seem to be working
Its crashed again, so starting from scratch and reinstalling the system.
After 3 attempted installs all seems good now, unless it locks up again.
That pairs the remote, if you’re locked out of SSH you need a physical keyboard
