The power supplies are the same, but you could swap them as a test. Remember that they age and over time, their output capacity will diminish.

Well I have been having the same issue while using the usb hub I ordered with my vero4k+ (4 port usb 3.0 powered hub). It happens only to a new drive I replaced an older corrupted with. Now it seems the corruption could have come from this mounting and demounting.
Very annoying as another drive works perfectly via the hub since the beginning and I do not use the others ports for hdds.
The new one is 2TB if that matters at all. I cannot use it now as it keeps mounting and remounting.
I would recommend trying another USB cable.

Let’s give that a go. This is a brand new hdd though with the cable coming out of the box.
