Update OSMC Alpha4 to RC on Raspi2?

Hi,

I am just wondering how to auto-update without losing all the settings, A cannot seem to find it anywhere in the settings, what am I missing=

There is no auto update without losing settings.
You have to either use a Kodi backup tool/addon or manually backup the settings/databases of media.

I would personally recommend starting from scratch though. Less risk of something not working because of some setting or addon not working correct from one version to the other.

Just to re-iterate some of the comments above, you MUST do a fresh install to RC if you are using any previous version, including the internal testing early March builds that some people have taken it upon themselves to install. While it might appear that upgrading from a previous version “works” without apparent problems (and even reports the correct release version) some system packages will be out of date and will be unable to update in the future, causing you to have a mixture of old and ne…

Thanks DBMandrake, I should have read the previous answer, sorry.

I will do a fresh install, but I guess it is okay to copy my sources.xml and keymaps.xml from the userdata folder, right?
