I love the rolling release system but having to update manually is getting tiresome and i would love a way to update my Pi at 4am when i know im never watching. Would that be possible with a cron job?
You can do that, with ‘unattended-upgrades’, but it’s not recommended or supported. The Debian 8.3 update makes this update a take a little while to install, but normally they’re quite fast, and you only get one a month typically.
