Updating the raspberry firmare

Hi guys,

I have a question: what is the recommended (apart from waiting for it to be “pushed”) way to update the raspberry firmware? I see we have the package rbp-bootloader-osmc, but that one is apparently used when updating the filesystem.

What I did was to actually follow the wget lines inside build.sh and manually point the output to the /boot folder, replacing LICENSE.broadcom, start_x.elf, fixup_x.dat and bootcode.bin, - do we have something more “automatic” I can call or run?

Thanks in advance!

Firmware comes from the repo not from updaters etc like a real linux distro all from the repo

imho as automated and tested as possible so that users gets stable machines.
