Updating won't work

So, I have my OSMC installation running for more than 500 days. Pretty neat, but the last few months I can’t update. when I try to update the updater exits with an error that says I have to ask for help.

My OSMC is not default. I’m running some services, notably vsftpd. Also I have a sound card installed, an HifiBerrry.

The part that goes wrong is here, I think:
**log piece
Hmm. There is a symbolic link /lib/modules/4.4.27-9-osmc/build
However, I can not read it: No such file or directory
Therefore, I am deleting /lib/modules/4.4.27-9-osmc/build

Hmm. The package shipped with a symbolic link /lib/modules/4.4.27-9-osmc/source
However, I can not read the target: No such file or directory
Therefore, I am deleting /lib/modules/4.4.27-9-osmc/source
****log piece

I can’t upload the full log due to it’s size. If you need more info, let me know. Thanks in advance.

That’s not an error.

We need to see full logs. You should also try and update each month. 500 days is a long time and you will likely need to reinstall if it is too heavily customised / too old

Try a manual update via command line (see Wiki for details)
